What is BoardBali?
BoardBali is a free, multilingual classifieds site and local guide for Bali. You can find villas and rooms for a few nights, homes to rent monthly, scooters and cars, property for sale, second-hand items, services, restaurants, jobs and events — and post your own listings.
Is BoardBali free to use?
Browsing and messaging are always free. Each seller can post one free listing per section every 30 days on the website, or two in the BoardBali app. Extra listings and promotions are optional and can only be bought in the app.
How do I post a listing?
Sign in with Google, tap "Post a listing", choose a section, add photos, a title, a price and the area, and send it. Our team reviews every listing before it goes live, and you will get a notification when it is published.
How do I contact a seller or host?
Open the listing and send a message on BoardBali, or call or WhatsApp the seller's phone number if they have a verified one. Deals are made directly between you and the seller; BoardBali takes no commission.
Why can't I write my phone number in a listing?
To protect people from scams, listings only show a phone number that our team has verified on the seller's profile. Add your number in your profile once; after approval it appears on all your listings.
How long does a listing stay online?
A listing stays live for 30 days. When it ends you can relist it from your account with one tap, and you can edit or delete it at any time.
Can I find a long-term villa or monthly rental in Bali?
Yes. The Long-term rentals section lists villas, houses, apartments and rooms by the month or year, with the price, bedrooms, pool, furnishing, minimum lease and what is included (electricity, Wi-Fi, cleaning). Filter by area such as Canggu, Ubud, Seminyak or Sanur.
How do I rent a scooter in Bali?
Open Vehicle rental and choose a scooter, motorbike or car; each listing shows the daily or monthly price, the deposit and whether helmets and delivery are included. To ride legally in Indonesia you need a motorbike licence valid in your country plus an International Driving Permit, and always wear a helmet.
Can foreigners buy property in Bali?
Foreigners usually cannot own freehold land in Indonesia; they buy leasehold (a long lease, often 25–30 years or more) or use a right-to-use title (Hak Pakai) or a company (PT PMA). Every property listing says whether it is freehold or leasehold. Always check the certificate and permits with an independent notary (PPAT) before paying.
Which areas of Bali does BoardBali cover?
All of Bali: Canggu, Berawa, Pererenan, Seminyak, Kerobokan, Kuta, Legian, Jimbaran, Uluwatu, Nusa Dua, Sanur, Denpasar, Ubud, Tabanan, Amed, Lovina, Sidemen and the Nusa islands (Penida and Lembongan).
Which languages can I use?
BoardBali works in English, Turkish, Indonesian, Russian, German and French. Write your listing in your own language: every listing is translated automatically into all six, so everyone reads it in theirs. Chat messages and our answers to your feedback are translated automatically too, and you can always see the original.
How do I stay safe and avoid scams?
See the villa, room or vehicle in person, or on a live video call, before paying anything. Never send a deposit to someone you have not met, be careful with prices far below the market, and keep conversations on BoardBali. If something looks wrong, tap "Report" on the listing and we will check it.
Is there a BoardBali app?
Yes, for Android on Google Play, with instant message notifications and an extra free listing per section; the iPhone version is on its way. See the App page for how to get it.
How can I promote my business on BoardBali?
Add your restaurant, shop or service as a free listing first. To reach more people you can feature a listing from the app, or advertise on the home page and in the sections — see the Advertise page.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account → Profile → Delete account on the website, or Settings → Delete account in the app. Your listings, messages and reviews are deleted immediately.
